HELL NO: To Brown Being Traded Says Steelers

Pittsburgh Steelers President, Art Rooney II made it perfectly clear during last week’s Super Bowl media sessions. Bleacher Report’s Mike Freeman provided evidence that the Steelers have absolutely no plans on trading wide receiver Antonio Brown to anyone. Something that I am sure we all had already figured, but the proof is in the pudding.

“This shouldn’t come as a huge shock, but there are teams wondering if they can swing some type of trade for Brown,” Freeman reported. “I’m told several teams have asked the Steelers if Brown is available, and according to two teams, the Steelers have said hell no.”

According to this report, Antonio Brown will not only remain on the Pittsburgh Steelers roster throughout the 2017-18 NFL season, but most likely he will finish up his proverbial Hall of Fame career with the team as well.

Brown himself also told Freeman after the Steelers’ loss to the Patriots in the AFC Championship Game  in which some questioned whether or not Brown was giving maximum effort, that he knows he needs to grow up . Brown also said that he won’t ever make a mistake like the Facebook Live video he streamed in the Steelers’ postgame locker room after beating the Chiefs.

“It was a dumb mistake,” Brown said. “Can’t believe I did it, and it won’t happen again. I promise you that.”

Brown continued on to say..”The big thing I learned is that I have some growing up to do, and I’m going to do it,” Brown added. “I learned a lot from it and will keep learning. I’m going to rebuild the trust with my teammates and my coaches. I promise you that, too.”

Has he learned from his mistakes? His lack of judgement? His center staging? Perhaps, but the reward for Antonio remaining a Steelers way outweighs the risk.
