Kevin Greene Wants In..Let Him In

In the midst of the recent Joey Porter incident, another former linebacker of the team is stepping up to the plate and offering his services. Something that I not only see as doable..but pretty much brilliant.

Hall of Famer inductee and previous Pittsburgh Steelers great, Kevin Greene has publically expressed his interest in the recent linebacker coach opening after the team place OLB coach Porter on leave because of an arrest after the Steelers 30-12 victory over the Miami Dolphins in the Wildcard Matchup last Sunday.

Greene, who began his career with the Los Angeles Rams in 1985 joined the Steelers in 1993, during that time along side of Greg Lloyd and Jason Gildon he became one of the most feared linebackers in the National Football League.

After leaving Pittsburgh after the 1995 season, Greene went on to be the sack leader with the Carolina Panthers during the 1996 season. Moving on to play for the San Francisco 49ers, then back to the Panthers in 1998-1999. Leading him to become the Green Bay Packers OLB coach from 2009-2013.

5x Pro Bowler, 3x First Team All-Pro, 2x NFL sack leader, 1990’s All-Decade Team and a Hall of Famer. Who better to fill the void than Kevin Greene? Not to mention a Super Bowl Champion with the Packers..against the Steelers. Sounds like an excellent candidate to me. #HereWeGo
