Browns HC Gives Praise To Tomlin and Steelers
In the midst of the dreaded Terry Bradshaw comment calling Pittsburgh Steelers head coach, Mike Tomlin a great “cheerleader”..as opposed to being a great “coach”..Cleveland Browns HC, Hugh Jackson stepped up to the plate going against such a statement. Giving praises to not only coach Tomlin, but the Steelers ina whole..several players singled out in such praises.
“He is a great coach,” said Jackson. “I have nothing but the utmost respect for Mike. He is one of the best, if not the best coach in the Natioal Football League. He is one of the best at what he does. Everybody has their opinion of how they see people. But I know what we in football really think of Mike Tomlin.”
Along with Tomlin, coach Jackson had nothing but good words to say about several Steelers players. One player he happens to be very familiar with? Steelers ageless linebacker, James Harrison, who he worked with in Cincinnati.
“He i not 38. Theere is no way,” said Jackson. “He is playing his tail off. I hve a lot of respect for James. Love the guy. He is a tremendous competitor, a tremendous worker. He epitomizes what they do in Pittsburgh. He is bluecollar. He is self-made. Everygood thing you can say about a football player, James Harrison has.”
As far as Stelers wide reciver, Antonio Brown goes? The Browns head coach had this to say.
“You can’t stop Antonio Brown. You try to, a lot of people have attepted to. What he does is secod to none. Antonio is not the biggest guy in the world, but he plays with the biggest heart in the world.”
Sounds like another Steelers WR and MVP, Hines Ward. Who may not have been the biggest or the fastest, but played like the biggest and the fastest o the field. Just ask Keith Rivers, formerly known as a Cincinnati Bengals linebacker.
Jackson also had this tosay about runing back, Le’Veon Bell.
“He is one of the best in the league. Bar none. He can run it. He ca catch it. He is a good pass protector. He has done everything as good as anybody in the National Football League today.”
Thanks for the bode of confidence coach Jackson. But that is not going to prevent the Steelers for going 11-5 against you and your team come New Years. Much respect. #HereWeGo
