Bell Rushes Steelers To 27-20 Victory in Buffalo.. Tomlin’s 100th
The best running back in the National Football League is who?
Let me give you a hint.. Le’Veon Bell! Oops..gave it away didn’t I? Oh well, it’s been a fact since he first entered the league and he just continues to make it so.
The Pittsburgh Steelers(8-5) went into a snowy New Era Field to take on the Buffalo Bills(6-7) in a game with major Playoff implications for the Bkack-N-Gold.
Bell, rushed for 191 yards on 25 carries with 3 touchdowns before the end of the 3rd quarter. Shady McCoy? 11 Rushes for 24 yards with no TDs. By games end, #Juice finished the game on 38 Rushes..236 yards along with the previous trifecta of scores.
“Thank God”! Because quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger really stunk up the joint. Stat wise his 17/31 for 220 was pretty respectable, but it was his interceptions that were uncharacteristic of his play as of late. Going into the game needing just 3 touchdown passes to tie Hall of Fame quarterback, John Always with 300..only to throw picks instead.
But no worries, because along with Bell’s incredible rushing exhibition the Steelers had the defense clicking on all cylinders recording 5 sacks and an interception of their own by rookie, Artie Burns immediately after a Roethlisberger INT..Burns’s second pick of the season.
Not to mention..as if the week 14 win and Bell’s performance wasn’t worthwhile enough, head coach Mike Tomlin also added another win to his resume going from 99 to his 100th career win with the team. Adding another milestone passed in his more than stellar tenure in Pittsburgh.
Still want to fire him now fairweather fans?
To sum it all up..Ben Roethlisberger had a bad game in the snow..Antonio Brown is still the best wide receiver in the NFL..and Le’Veon Bell is an unstoppable “BEAST”! Oh..and the Steelers went away with a much needed”W”. Up next..the hated Cincinnati Bengals. #HereWeGo
