Brown To Tone Down TD Celebrations?

Antonio Brown drops it like it’s hot versus the Redskins in week one.

OK. So apparently Pittsburgh Steelers proverbial Hall of Fame quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger and the rest of the team spoke out on the touchdown celebrations by all-pro wide receiver, Antonio Brown. If this I the case..this discussion could have been handled in the locker room. Not on some radio/news station. A distraction in itself.

“Yeah, we did,” Roethlisberger said after being asked on CBS Sports Radio affiliate 93.7 The Fan if the team had talked to Brown. “He knows, we all know, Coach Tomlin(Mike) brought it up yesterday, that is a huge penalty that we can’t do. We put our kick coverage team in a bad situation and we can’t have it, and AB knows that.”

Fair enough. But we all know that the NFL(National Football League)..has become the NFL(No Fun League)..mainly because of the Commissioner it obtained through the hiring of, Roger Goodell. Who let’s all admit has ruin the sport of professional football in more ways than one. Something that Roethlisberger places part of the game on.

“I know for a fact that he’s scored touchdowns in one o’clock games that aren’t the big prime-time games and haven’t flagged him.” Roethlisberger said.

Brown has been fined and penalized for his end-zone celebrations. The most memorable in recent times being the infamous “twerking” celebration versus the Washington Redskins in week one’s 38-16 win. The latest drew a $24,000 fine from the league.

A uncalled-for penalty..but it is exactly where the NFL is headed in 2016 and beyond under the commissioner’s wrath. But losing 15 yards after touchdowns can tend to ware on those who defend the prior kickoffs. So I agree with Roethlisberger and the rest of the team. Although we enjoy the celebrations..the league will not allow us to truly relish them. #HereWeGo
