Legendary Steelers wide receiver Lynn Swann is going back to the West Coast, this time as the man in charge.

Swann was named athletic director at the University of Southern California on Wednesday, according to the Trojans’ verified Twitter account, returning to the campus where he starred from 1971-74, making the All-America team in 1973.

The Steelers selected Swann in the first round in 1974 in what is considered one of the best single draft classes in NFL history. He was named All-Pro three times and also went to the Pro Bowl three times. He retired in 1982 after helping lead the Steelers to four Super Bowl victories.

He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001.
