Week 10 Browns @ Steelers Preview and Prediction
The last time these two teams met up, the Cleveland Browns embarrassed the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-10. Highly doubting that anything resembling that Steelers team shows its face this Sunday at Heinz Field.
1pm EST the Roethlisberger-less Steelers will do battle with Josh McCown and their AFC North rivals the Browns. In a game I consider the same type of game against any team with a losing record..”a trap game”.
The Steelers have developed a bad habit of falling to the weak, but I believe that they have definitely learned their lesson. Even at the hands of a Landry Jones at the helm, Pittsburgh still has way too many weapons to overcome. And I have faith in Jones utilizing those weapons this time around..as opposed to his last starting gig versus the Kansas City Chiefs.
Pittsbugh backup, yet premier running back, DeAngelo Williams, who’s 170 rushing yards on 27 carries last week in a hard fought 38-35 win over the Oakland Raiders will be Landry’s best friend in this game. Not to mention the ever so dominating Antonio Brown, and his record setting 306 yards from scrimmage against the Silver and Black.
Browns starting quarterback, McCown might want to think about adding a little herbs and spices to those injured ribs of his, because Bud Dupree and Company are definitely hungry after a meaningless blitz attack against Derek Carr and the Raiders. Still the defense managed to accumulate turnovers with an end zone interception by Ross Crockwell and a would-be fumble recovery 6 by Mike Mitchell..had he stayed in bounds.
And just that quick, word is Johnny Manziel will be getting the start against the Steelers. Confusion on their part will definitely solidify the outcome of my prediction and this game.
Long story short, the defense of the Steelers(although banged up)..have still managed to improve over time. Look for that improvement to continue in this game.
My main problem is this..”will offensive coordinator, Todd Haley make the right calls at the right time”..and will head coach, Mike Tomlin have the testicular fortitude to veto those unnecessary calls by Haley? That being done..it’s a blowout. Not..it’s a squeaker like last weeker. Yes, I understand “weeker” isn’t a word.
Play calls will be made correctly #HereWeGo
