Bryant Suspended 4 Games For Substance Abuse

There is no type of news I dislike writing about the Pittsburgh Steelers than disappointing news. And this is as disappointing as it gets.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Steelers standout wide receiver is facing a four suspension game for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. So that means 1/2 of the “Killer B’s” will not only miss the first game of the season..but multiple games.

Although Ramon Foster, an NFLPA Representative is hopeful that the suspension will be reduced, it is still a major blow to the most high powered offense in the National Football League.

Bryant burst onto the scene in his rookie season last year, making his first appearance in week seven and catching six touchdowns in his first four games with the Steelers.

On the season, Bryant helped get the Steelers offense reach a new level as he contributed 26 catches for 549 yards and 8 touchdowns in just 10 regular season games.

In the teams first round playoff loss to the Baltimore Ravens, Bryant recorded another 5 catches for 61-yards and a touchdown.

It is believed Bryant would take on an even bigger role in the offense this year.

Just yesterday Bryant topped the list of best NFL prospects by ESPN.
