SAINTS @ STEELERS: Week 13 Preview and Prediction
Considered as being the best 4-7 team in the National Football League, the New Orleans Saints will be traveling into Heinz Field to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers(7-4) this Sunday.
As we know, or at least should know is that teams with big passing offenses can’t ever be counted on to lose, even if the Pittsburgh newspapers are dogging the Saints. And quarterback back, Drew Brees with 3,491 passing yards is 3rd on the leading quarterback list for yardage, one spot above Steelers qb, Ben Roethlisberger.
Going up against an “on again..off again” defense in the Steelers, suspect cornerback William Gay will definitely have a lot of balls thrown his way as usual. Not to mention Pittsburgh has had its obvious problems going up against teams below .500 winning percentage. But pounding out a hard fought win in week 11 versus the Tennessee Titans may have been just what the Steelers needed.
Now for a lift in the topic. The Steelers will have some much needed players returning to the field. Corner, Ike Taylor..linebacker Jarvis Jones and safety Troy Polamalu will add that spark the D has been lacking over the past few weeks. Able to provide tight coverage and pass rushing pressure to throw Brees out of his comfort zone.
All that being said about the defensive side of the BALL, the Steelers offence will definitely show up to play as well. With Roethlisberger at the helm, along with running back, LeVeon Bell and wide receiver, Antonio Brown they should put up big numbers against this Saints defense.
So what I see is this. If the Pittsburgh Steelers, coming in fresh off a bye week, go into Sunday’s game at home with the same resiliency they showed in the Music City they should have a great chance of defeating the New Orleans Saints. Giving them their first “back-to-back” win against below .500 teams..and they will.
My Prediction: SAINTS 21
Key Match Up: Antonio Brown v. Keenan Lewis
