MONDAY NIGHT MATCHUP: Steelers vs. Titans

My advice to the Black-n-Gold..”DON’T LET THE 2-7 RECORD FOOL YA”!

This Monday night, the Pittsburgh Steelers(6-4) with travel into the Music City to take on the Tennessee Titans, in a matchup that should not be taken lightly.

Even with only two wins under their belt, the Titans come into Monday night’s game with not only experience in playing the Steelers but familiarity as well.

Tennessee head coach, and former Pittsburgh offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt is all to familiar with both the offense side of the ball, as well as the Dick LeBeau generated defense. So believe me when I say “preparation is key” for this primetime event.

As I stated in last week’s article versus the Jets, the Steelers should not enter this game with “OVERCONFIDENCE”. But then again..why should they? Especially after being held to zero touchdowns in the first 3 3/4 quarters against New York.

As seen is the stats above (Steelers on left..Titans on right) both teams maybe ranked 3rd in their respective divisions, the Steelers have a slight advantage. So slight that it isn’t enough to guarantee a win, because nothing is for sure in the National Football League.

As of 1970 the Pittsburgh Steelers hold a 41-31 overall regular season record over the Tennessee Titans(formerly the Houston Oilers), but that didn’t prevent Tennessee from walking away with a 16-9 victory in their last meeting with Pittsburgh.

This is why the Steelers “MUST” go into LP field with the same intensity and willingness to win like they did in back-to-back weeks against they Indianapolis Colts and the Baltimore Ravens. If they do that..there should be no reason they don’t come out with a win. And they will.

MY PREDICTION: Steelers 24
                               Titans    17

So it is written. #PS4L
