There is only one word that describes the Pittsburgh Steelers embarrassing loss to the once 1-8, but now 2-8 New York Jets. And that word my friends is..”OVERCONFIDENCE”!

A word I’ve used describing the Steelers 3 out of 4 loses this season. Not counting the manhandling the Baltimore Ravens performed on the Steelers in week 2.

Because what other reason is there for the Steelers to go from two outstanding performances against the Colts and the Ravens in back-to-back weeks, only to drag their feet into MetLife Stadium believing it was going to be easy?

Just like my previous blog “STEELERS MUST KEEP FOOT ON GAS PEDAL VS. JETS”..they did exactly the opposite. Despite coming with seven to turn the 20-6 score into a even more embarrassing 20-13 with 1:16 left on the clock.

Embarrassing because for nearly 60 minutes, the Jets defense stifled Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown and LeVeon Bell giving up just six points in the first 3 3/4 quarters. But fault not only falls on the players but the coaching staff as well.

Sure, Rex Ryan has been known to be a defensive genius and what he did to Todd Haley’s offense was very close to perfection. And I for one am appalled by their lack of the of in the play calling position.

“Why is it that the Steelers can dominate worthy competitors, but become passive to lesser teams in the league”? Overconfidence. Like I’ve stated before..it kills. #PS4L
